Field Service Technician (inline inspection)

What you can expect

To strengthen our operations in France, we are looking for a Field Service Technician, based in France. 

As a Field Service Technician for our Inline Inspection Division, you prepare and perform pipeline inspections at the customers location.

Our customers mostly consist of major players within the petrochemical industry. ROSEN is the professional leader for cleaning and inspection of pipelines systems to ensure the integrity of valuable assets. Our expertise lies in performing inspections with our in-house developed inspection equipment, which will lead to an extensive report on the integrity of the object.

Suitable candidates have, besides good technical knowledge, a flexible and customer orientated attitude. After internal training, you will be able to carry out inspections using ROSEN inspection tools and equipment in both onshore- and offshore environment. In addition to carry out the fieldwork, you and your team take care of onsite reporting. Next to this, you are able to carry out maintenance and minor repairs to inspection equipment yourself.

Besides France, our customer’s locations are mainly based in Europe and Africa, although work in other regions of ROSEN can be required.

Responsibilities:
  • Timely onsite preparation of inspection tools and associated equipment;
  • Verify the given tool specifications versus the operation conditions;
  • Setup, check and initialize the inspection tools prior to launching;
  • Launching and receiving the inspection tool in accordance to the client’s specifications;
  • Checking data quality and completeness;
  • Assessing tool condition, report any damages;
  • Maintenance and repair of inspection equipment and accessories;
  • Preparing for demobilization of equipment and accessories;
  • On-site customer communication;
  • Creating reports on work progress, tool data and conditions, and onsite daily activities.

What you will bring

  • Professional Mechanical, Electronic Engineer or related areas;
  • 1-3 years working experience;
  • Good organizational- and time management skills;
  • Willingness to travel up to 180 days per year;
  • Able to follow established internal & external HSE procedures;
  • Excellent communication skills written and spoken in English (Italian, French and/ or Spanish is preferable);
  • Good understanding of cultural differences;
  • Autonomy, confidence and customer – focused mindset.
