Group Tax Controller

Location: Luxembourg


What you can expect

The Tax Controller plays a critical role in the Group’s operating model by executing tax processes with precision and ensuring the integrity, completeness and reliability of all tax data. This position exists to produce decision‑ready tax information, enable fast and accurate management insights and ensure consistent, correct application of global tax processes across jurisdictions. Through disciplined execution and high documentation standards, the Tax Controller strengthens the Group’s tax control environment and supports strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Global Tax Compliance Execution
  • Coordinate deadlines and monitor the status of local compliance deliverables to ensure timely submission of tax data and supporting documentation
  • Perform second‑level reviews of local corporate tax computations, adjustments and evidence, ensuring completeness, correctness and consistency with Group requirements
  • Maintain structured, audit‑ready compliance files, with clear reconciliations, traceability and supporting documentation to facilitate Group review and external audits
  1. Tax Reporting Execution
  • Review monthly and year‑end IFRS tax provision calculations for assigned entities, ensuring consistent application of IAS 12
  • Analyze entity-level movements in ETR, cash taxes, tax attributes and uncertain tax positions, providing accurate insights for consolidated reporting
  • Prepare accurate data inputs for Group tax disclosures, including reconciliations, schedules and supporting documentation for external audit inquiries
  1. Process Standardization & Data Control
  • Apply Group-standard templates, data models and reporting formats to ensure uniformity and comparability across jurisdictions
  • Use tax technology and workflow tools effectively, ensuring accurate data entry, validation, reconciliation and resolution of system‑identified issues
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly operational dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and completeness of compliance and reporting indicators
  1. Collaboration & Documentation Quality
  • Collaborate proactively with Local Finance teams to obtain complete, accurate and well‑documented tax data
  • Maintain high‑quality working papers and documentation to support internal controls and ensure full audit readiness
  • Strengthen knowledge of IAS 12, IFRIC 23, Pillar Two/GloBE and tax systems to enhance execution quality and technical accuracy
  • Promote disciplined documentation, data integrity and consistent application of Group processes across all deliverables

What you will bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in tax compliance, tax reporting or audit
  • Solid understanding of corporate income tax, IFRS / IAS 12 and tax accounting fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax technology tools
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, multinational environment with multiple stakeholders
