At ROSEN,GenAI is no longer a concept waiting on the horizon—it is already beginning to reshape how we inspect pipelines,validate data and serve our customers.With our GenAITeam in place,we are now looking for the person who will close the loop between what our customers and internal users actually need and what we ship. As our GenAI Product Owner, you will sit at the center of one of ROSEN's most fast-moving, customer-facing initiatives.
You will own short-lived, high-impact GenAI products end-to-end—talking directly to customers, validating ideas with users,vibe-coding early prototypes yourself,and steering technical vibecoders or larger teams when the product requires it. You will move from first conversation to working product in days, not weeks, and decide what is worth scaling—and what is not.You will lead, not do, the deep specialists in prompt engineering, RAG, evalsand AI safety,translating their craft into customer outcomes.
This is not a backlog-managementrole. It is a hands-on driver position for someone who is equally comfortable in a customer interview, in leading a workshop and in a vibe-coded prototype.
Responsibilities
In thi srole, you will be embedded in our GenAI team. You will own short-lived, high-impact GenAI products end-to-end — from the first customer conversation to a validated, working product — and steer larger teams when the product requires it. Key responsibilities include:
Customer Discovery: Talk directly to ROSEN's internal users and pipeline-inspection customers to understand their problems in depth. Frame opportunities, surface pain points, and translate them into actionable product hypotheses
Product Ownership: Drive your own short-lived GenAI products from idea to validated product, owning scope, priorities, and decisions throughout the lifecycle
Hands-on Prototyping (VibeCoding): Build early, throwaway prototypes yourself using GenAI tools and lightweight code — fast enough to test ideas with users within days, not weeks
User Validation: Run interviews, usability tests, and structured validation sessions to confirm or kill ideas before they consume engineering capacity. Bring research rigor without research overhead
TeamSteering: When products outgrow a solo build, steer technical vibe coders and cross-functional teams — defining the brief, unblocking the work, and keeping the build aligned with validated user needs
AI Product Strategy: Partner with GenAI specialists (prompt engineering, RAG, evals, agentic workflows, AIsafety) who report into or work alongside this role. Translate their depth into product decisions and customer outcomes
Communication &Documentation: Produce clear, concise artefacts — briefs, journey maps, product walkthroughs, decisionlogs — making active use of AI tooling to drive alignment and unblock execution
Continuous Discovery: Champion a discovery-led, customer-first culture in a fast-moving GenAI environment where the right answer changes every week
What you will bring
To become part of the ROSEN family, you are a versatile, hands-on senior product professional who is equally comfortable in front of a customer, in a Figmafile, and in a vibe-coded prototype. Moreover, you should bring with you:
- Hybrid Background: Proven experience spanning Product Ownership, Product Management, and UX Research/Design — you have driven products from discovery through delivery,not only managedA degree in a relevant field (computer science, HCI, design, engineering, business) is preferred, but track record outweighs credentials
- Hands-on GenAI Fluency: Working knowledge of LLMs and modern GenAI tooling — you can prototype with them, prompt them effectively,and judge their output. You are not expected to be a specialist; you are expected to lead specialists
- Vibe Coding Capability: Comfortable building rough working prototypes yourself withGenAI-assisted coding tools, sufficient to put something in front of a user this week
- CustomerDiscoverySkills: Strong interviewing and workshop facilitation skills; able to walk into a customer conversation and walk out with actionable insight
- Methodological Strength: Comfortable with qualitative and quantitative validation methods — interviews,usability tests,surveys, simple analytics—applied pragmatically in fast iteration cycles
- Technical Understanding: Proven ability to operate in highly complex, technical domains (e.g., industrial inspection, medical, automotive, big data) and earn the trust of expert users
- LeadershipWithoutAuthority: Able to steer technical vibe coders and cross-functional teams throughclarity, prioritisation, and momentum — notorg-chart authority
- Initiative & Ownership: Comfortable owning ambiguous problems, setting your own direction, and shipping with minimal oversight
- Innovation Mindset: Strong critical thinking; able to challenge the status quo andidentify where GenAI genuinely creates value versus where it doe snot
- Agile Collaboration: Experience working in iterative discovery and delivery cycles; comfortable with short feedback loops and disposable prototypes
- Bilingual Proficiency: Strong written and spoken proficiency in both German and English (C1 level or higher), enabling fluent collaboration with ROSEN colleagues and customers across regions
Nice to have
- Domain background in pipeline inspection, oil & gas, energy or another safety-critical industrial environment
- Prior experience shipping a GenAI product from 0 to 1— including working with prompt engineering, RAG and evaluation patterns at a practitioner level
- Experience hiring, growing or steering GenAI specialists (prompt engineers, ML engineers, applied AI researchers)
- Familiarity with continuous-discovery and Jobs-to-be-Done methodologies, or experience designing innovation
