We are currently looking for a full time NDE Specialist to support our inline inspection process, attending verification digs at client sites throughout Canada.

Responsibilities:
The NDE Specialist will be required to evaluate non-destructive examination requirements and specifications imposed by the customer for technical adequacy.  The position will develop specialized NDE techniques for special applications and prepare detailed procedures for use by NDE production personnel.  Principle technical understanding of your specific area of expertise and wide industry knowledge of best practices, tools, equipment and procedures are needed to ensure we have the best possible solutions deployed to maintain compliance and ensure our reliability and compliance for our customer.

The successful candidate will travel to client sites and provide support to our inline inspection activities by verifying field data  for ROSEN Canada.  The candidate will be responsible for quality over the Inline in-field verification as well as maintain the available Inline pull test and in-field verification database. 

The candidate will support the development of Inline in-field verification processes as well as analyze and explain outliers. 

The candidate will communicate with customers and personnel of ROSEN and will present and explain the qualification process to clients.

To be successful in the role, a candidate will have sound technical background in Data Validation and NDE measurements in the field.  The candidate should have the technical ability to assess, analyze and maintain the Inline in-field verification databases.   

The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of how oil and gas pipelines operate and the candidate must have the technical acumen to understand ROSEN Canada’s products and services.

The candidate should be able to translate customer issues and requirements into a solution that will encompass ROSEN Canada’s products and services.
 

Requirements

The successful candidate should have the minimum qualifications and/or skills:

• Minimum two year associate degree in technical field or relevant equivalent work experience of 5 years;
• Prior knowledge of NDE techniques with emphasis on pipeline crack, SCC, lack of fusion, etc. detection and sizing techniques.
• Systems and tooling qualification and selection;
• Hardware and software qualification testing;
• Tooling/system calibration;
• Comfortable and competent in-field to consult and direct measurement tasks;
• Capable of analyzing data and validate measurements;
• Excellent communication and writing skills;
• Demonstrated customer service skills;
• Self-motivated and a self-starter.

The NDE Specialist will be based in the ROSEN Canada office in Calgary.  Travel of approximately 70% is expected.
