
Payroll Specialist
Location: Rio de Janeiro
What you can expect
The purpose of this function is to guide and control the complete (local and/or international) payroll process within the region of responsibility. Analyze and resolve complex (local and/or international) payroll issues from employees, managers, finance teams and Human Resources Professionals is part of this function.Responsible for:
Timely data gathering and preparation of biweekly or monthly payrolls in the SAP system, including but not limited to new hire registration, exit paperwork, employee transfers, travel expenses etc.
Provide information, reports, support to the Regional, Sectoral, United, Local HR Manager on all (local and/or international) payroll related activities.
Partner with global HR professionals, and local finance teams to proactively identify and address issues with international assignments both incoming and outgoing, provide timely support and resolution.
Focus on the accuracy and timely receipt of payroll reports, data validation and resolving discrepancies within tight deadlines.
Coordinate payroll approvals and funding instructions with local Payroll Administrator(s) and finance team.
Provide timely and high value customer service to (local and/or international) employees ensuring research and responses.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, Corporate policies, and internal controls.
Reply to tax notices, wage orders, unemployment claims, government correspondences, and verification of employments for the assigned area of responsibility.
Research and provide advice on international pay benchmarks.
Research and provide advice on payroll implementation for new locations or assignments.
Support various internal and external audits.
Communication with insurance companies and control and ensure insurance benefits, life, disability and personal accident insurance are accurately recorded in Employee Earnings Statement and the Employers’ Returns.
Support Corporate management and Finance with month-end close and reporting activities.
Advice and guidance on the optimization of the SAP system.
Guidance and supervision of the Payroll Administrator(s) in the region.
Ad hoc projects as assigned.
What you will bring
Bachelor Degree Human Resources, Business Administration or related areas.Advanced English Level (minimum B2)
Background in Brazil Payroll activities.
Desirable knowledge in Argentina, Colombia and or other South American countries payroll routine.
Experience with payroll software and HR systems (SAP or similar tools).
Knowledge of employment law, social legislation, tax regulations and pension systems.
