Project Manager - Industrial Pipeline Coating

Description

Due to our rapid growth, we are currently seeking a qualified full time permanent Project Manager to join our production team.

Detailed duties include:
• Read and understand customer specifications and fully ensure product/project are aligned with customer requirements;
• Responsibility and accountability for delivery of the project goals established with client;
• Work in close collaboration with the Production Team to validate all aspects of the project planning and execution phases.
• Monitor and control all contractual commitments to assure all work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings, terms of the contract and client expectations.
• Coordinate all client contacts, including major correspondence between ROSEN and client, maintain working relationships at all levels required;
• Monitor project cost, quality, cash flow and budget of projects.
• Conduct regular project progress and client meetings to review the progress and issues in all disciplines of the project;
• Timely, accurate and complete reporting on the project progress & closure;
• Direct and review functions throughout the project lifecycle and ensure that the leads actively manage best practices within each of their fields;
• Ensure that that project documentation (contractual, engineering, third party vendor and workplace change related) is managed (received, reviewed, comments incorporated, responded and incorporated in plant records);

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in a project management and engineering role,  preferably in the Pipeline Coating/Materials industry;
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology;
• Registration with APEGA is an asset.
• Experience in Oil Sands Projects is an asset.
• Knowledge of Canadian standard pipeline design codes and specifications, ASME B 31.3 and 31.4 as well as to ASME Section IX.
• PC literacy with MC office packages.
• Hands-on project controls experience with focus on schedule development, tracking and accurately reporting progress on a regular basis.
• Experience managing vendor commitments.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and communicating project risks.
• Knowledge of Canadian standard pipeline design codes and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• High attention to detail and results.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage 4-5 medium size projects at the same time.
• Willing to travel.
