                                                       Regional Tax Manager South America

The Regional Tax Manager SA is responsible to evaluate tax risks and opportunities in the region, driving the tax performance initiatives and ensuring a standard control framework is in place for all countries & taxes in the region. This role responsibilities includes corporate advisory and compliance, indirect and operational tax obligations, as well as transfer pricing subjects. The position is located in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.

The Regional Tax Manager SA reports directly to the Global Head of Tax and Transfer Pricing in Switzerland, and will provide support in all matters within its scope to  the Regional Management, Finance Manager, HR and Operational teams in all ROSEN entities within the region. The role will be focused 100% on Latin America and will be the direct link between Regions and Corporate tax in all matters under his/her responsibility.

This job is for someone “hands-on”, who likes been involved in operational matters: contract with customers, pricing to customers, tax optimization: withholding taxes, permanent establishment (PE), indirect taxes, customs, effective tax rate and deferred taxes, double taxation agreements, tax compliance.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist and support in regards of tax, transfer pricing and eventually legal subjects / issues  specially in the following areas:
  o Direct Taxes : Income Tax, WHT, IRFF
  o Indirect Taxes : VAT, ISS, PIS, COFINS
  o Tax compliance’ validation,
  o Local (State / Municipal )’ taxes review,
  o Tax reporting and Effective Tax Rate (ETR) validation, 
  o Tax audits,
• Assist with the tax provision process, local GAAP and IFRS reporting
• Pursue opportunities for optimizing property taxes within legal framework
• Travel throughout the Region to conduct visits and provide on-site guidance and partnership to the operating companies and affiliated branches


• A degree in Higher Professional Education as CPA (bachelor degree)
• At least 5 years of strong Global / International Tax experience, which includes some time spent in a Big  4 firm and familiarity of tax issues for a multinational company operating globally
• Transfer pricing experience (especially knowledge with new International Tax Regulations UN/ OECD/ BEPS/ BRAZIL TP legislation) to support Head of Tax and Transfer Pricing in the TP compliance
• Corporate tax experience is mandatory
• Self-starter, independent and able to multitask and set priorities
• Good understanding of financial, tax planning and reporting, as well as accountancy is required
• Team oriented with ability to communicate and interact with cross functional teams
• Excellent knowledge of Spanish and English
• Legal background / knowledge will be a plus
• Willing to travel around designated Region (30% travel request)
