Description

Due to continued growth, our UK Integrity Management office in Newcastle upon Tyne requires a Senior Engineer to assist in the delivery of technical engineering consultancy projects, primarily for clients amongst the UK Gas Transmission and Distribution networks.

The role will involve working with engineers and technicians at all levels and from other disciplines within the business on commercial client projects as well as internal R&D initiatives.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience
• Self-starter with demonstrable problem solving capabilities and ability to think laterally
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in technical engineering consultancy in the UK Gas Transmission and Distribution industry
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline
• Ability to prepare high quality technical reports
• Excellent communicator with a track record of delivering technical presentations to peers and clients
• Up to date knowledge of relevant codes and standards relating to Gas Transmission and Distribution
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships

Preferred Skills and Experience
• Has achieved, or is working towards, Chartered Engineer status through a recognised professional body
• Working knowledge of pressure reduction systems and gas preheating
• Experience of managing and co-ordinating small project teams
