Accounts Payable Administrator

Due to our rapid growth; we are currently looking for a full time, Temporary Accounts Payable Administrator  for a period of 4-6 months. As a member of our Finance team, you will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a flexible work schedule, and use independent judgment and reasoning.


 

Requirements

Detailed duties include:

• Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions.
• Review of approved invoices with attached P.O. and verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Accurately post the bills into SAP and manage the bi-weekly cheque run.
• Prepare vendor cheques for mailing.
• Keep updated list of vendor accounts.
• Prepare manual cheques as and when required.
• Maintain updated vendor files and employee expense files.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files.
• Process all employees expenses including credit card expense and  reimbursement expense
• Create deadlines and reminders about  expense submission deadlines.
• Reconcile AP sub-ledger to general ledger to ensure all the errors caught up.
• Assist  Finance Manager in  month-end and year-end closing and meet the deadlines
• Create internal travel database for employees and be accountable  for data entered by employees.
• Other ad-hoc reports from managers.
• Additional administrative finance related duties as assigned.

Qualifications or Skills Required:
The successful candidate should have the minimum qualifications and/or skills:

• Minimum of  5 years Accounts Payable experience.
• Post-secondary Accounting diploma  is required.
• Detail-oriented , adaptable, innovative, and a well-organized team player.
• Solid working knowledge of MS Excel and  MS Word.
• Self-motivated with the ability to recommend and implement improvements to current processes.
• Superior verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to organize own work and perform tasks individually.
• SAP or other ERP system experience is preferable.
• An understanding of payroll processes is an asset.
