Planning Engineer

Description

Due to continued growth in the volume, value and complexity of consultancy work awarded, our UK office in Newcastle upon Tyne requires a Planning Engineer to work closely with the Sales Team and Project teams to ensure that larger jobs are planned correctly throughout the project life cycle whilst maintaining the required levels of quality.
 
The role will involve working with engineers and staff at all levels and from other disciplines within the business on commercial client projects to keep all parties on schedule and on budget. 

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:
Sound knowledge of and experience extensively using Microsoft Project
Excellent communication skills in a technical environment
Well organised with experience of working on and prioritising between multiple projects of varying duration, complexity and value
Proactive individual but yet reactive to unexpected project developments
Considerable experience in a Planning role in a fast paced engineering environment.
Knowledge of project costings and Tendering processes
 
Desirable Skills:
An HNC or above in a relevant engineering qualification
Experience in Continuous Improvement or Process Improvement programs.
