Test Engineer

Description

Due to our continued growth, our UK office in Newcastle upon Tyne requires a Test Engineer to operate at the ROSEN Test Facility. The role will involve working with engineers and technicians at all levels and from other disciplines within the business on commercial client projects as well as internal R&D initiatives.

Requirements

Essential Skills:
 
Degree qualified (minimum 2:1) with a Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent).
Demonstrative experience working in a fast-paced technical environment
Background in multi-discipline testing with a sound knowledge of mechanical and pressure testing
Experience in engineering design and development systems
Demonstrative ability to problem solve and troubleshoot to provide sustainable solutions to often complex technical challenges
Practical approach to problem solving and a willingness to work ‘hands on’ if required
 
Desirable Skills:
 
Excellent Presentation skills, including experience presenting to clients
Background in asset integrity with a sound knowledge of basic principles
Sound knowledge of Quality Systems and Safety Management
Understanding of instrumentation systems, with ability to apply knowledge
CAD/CAE experience preferred
Affiliated, or working towards affiliation with recognised institute (such as IMECHE, IET, IGEM etc)
