Training & Education Coordinator

(Temporary)

Description

We are currently looking for a Temporary, Full-time, Training & Education Coordinator to join our team for a 14 month Maternity Leave coverage term.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates local internal and external training programs in coordination with Department Managers, HSE and HR, the Corporate Training Policy and Written Practice;
• Ensures administration of and data entry within the Training & Competence Software is maintained;
• Scheduling, supervising and evaluating practical and theoretical exams; 
• Collecting feedback from trainers and attendees to continuously improve the training efficiency and effectiveness;
• Scheduling training in line with the operational needs and coordinate attendees and trainers as applicable;
• Identifying, supporting and coordinating suitable Multipliers as trainers;
• Preparing classrooms and support facilitators as needed;
• Discuss and maintain a personal development & training plan for the current and upcoming year with managers as applicable for each employee;
• Schedule onboarding training for new employees;
• Identifying training needs and target qualifications that result from annual performance & development reviews;
• Identifying additional training needs based on inputs from  various stakeholders such as Quality department, Team Leads etc.;
• Ensuring all training and education related activities are performed in compliance with the industry standards and local regulations;
• Providing relevant metrics to all stakeholders.

Qualifications or Skills Required:
The successful candidate should have the minimum qualifications and/or skills:

• Minimum 1-3 years directly related experience;
• Post-secondary education (Communications, Education, or a related field);
• Excellent interpersonal and written & verbal English communication skills;
• Proven organization and time management skills;
• Work individually, as well as in a team environment with minimum supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other web based systems – ability to learn new software with ease;
• Strong attention to detail and administrative skills;
• Facilitation/Presentation skills are an asset;
• Must reside in Calgary, Alberta or surrounding area.
