

Sr. HR Generalist Human Resources, Mexico City

Under the direction of the Regional HR manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all Human Resources related matters pertaining the Mexico City office. The Sr. HR Generalist will work with and provide guidance and direction to management and employees on Human Resources related matters, activities, policies, programs, processes, etc. The Sr. HR Generalist in Mexico City will work closely together with his/her counterpart in the Veracruz office, as well as the HR-team in Houston, Texas (USA).Responsibilities: the successful candidate is expected to provide a positive contribution towards the company’s culture, employee relationships and be responsible for all Human Resource matters for personnel at the Mexico City location, including (but not limited to):
- Recruitment and selection of personnel.
- Administer and assist with the creation and implementation of the company’s HR policy and procedures.
- Educate, counsel, and coach employees on company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provide training for managers in order to coach and discipline employees; schedule management conferences with employees; resolve employee grievances.
- Personnel administration:
- Process all on-boarding documentation.
- Create, update and manage personnel files and data base(s).
- Administer and prepare employment contracts for fulltime and temporary personnel.
- Monitor the renewal dates for employment contracts.
- Work with Regional Human Resources on visas and work permits.
- Manage, maintain and verify the companies time-registration system.
- Payroll (through external provider):
- Administer bi-monthly and weekly (if applicable) payroll.
- Point of contact for the payroll provider.
- Point of contact and assist employees and managers with any payroll related matters.
- Support the company’s job classification and grading process.
- Benefits administration:
- Provide support to employees regarding benefits and the delivery of the benefit programs.
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date and verifying social insurance administration (IMSS) records, filings and information in close co-operation with the company’s legal representative.
- Record and assist employees with any work disability issues
- Implement Performance Management process by providing support and answer questions from employees and managers pertaining the company’s performance review cycle and process.
- Collaborate with Managers as a strategic partner to the business.
- Conduct exit interviews and off-boarding process, analyze data for trends and make recommendations for improvement to HR manager and/or department manager.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations in regards to employment, recruitment and employee relations resolution.
Requirements
Qualifications or Skills Required: the successful candidate should have the minimum qualifications and/or skills:- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline, with specialty in Human Resources.
- 8+ years of all-round HR experience.
- Working knowledge of labor, employment laws as well as HR practices.
- Working knowledge of payroll, social insurance and benefit administration.
- Have excellent people skills.
- Work in a team environment.
- Work individually, with minimum supervision.
- Organization, time management skills and ability to multi-task with little margin for error.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficient in Spanish and English (both spoken and written).
